Automechanika Shanghai 2009
In 2008 Automechanika Shanghai had a record number of 1,982 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions showcasing their products in eight halls covering 92,000 sqm. The show attracted more than 30,800 visitors from 104 countries and regions and half of the buyers had full purchasing authority. The number of exhibitors and visitors were up to 59% and 41% respectively.
The fair is expected to reach 100,000 sqm this year. To date, 70% of the exhibition space has already been taken up. Already confirmed for the 2009 show are four overseas pavilions from Germany, Singapore, UK and the USA. The German pavilion is sponsored by Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in cooperation with Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA). The Association of Small & Medium Enterprises supported by IE Singapore organises the Singaporean pavilion under the International Marketing Activities Programme (IMAP) grant. The UK pavilion is supported by the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders Ltd (SMMT), and the USA pavilion is certified by US Department of Commerce.
