Wuhan Optical Valley Software Park
Wuhan Optical Valley Software Park was established by the Management Committee of Wuhan East Lake Hi-tech Development Zone and DLSP in the end of 2006. DLSP, with over ten years' experience in park operation and management, as well as its professional service system and group, is participating in the development of local software industry and the operation of the park, thus to promote the development of software industry of Wuhan East Lake Hi-tech Development Zone.
Wuhan Optical Valley Software Park is located in Wuhan East Lake Hi-tech Development Zone, a scenic spot surrounded by three lakes (East Lake, South Lake and Tangxun Lake) and six hills (Luojia Hill, Nanwang Hill, Yujia Hill, Ma'an Hill, Fuhu Hill and Shizi Hill). It occupies an area of over 1000mu, with a construction area of 730,000m2 (including 480,000m2 already built). The construction of second phase, the "E City of Optical Valley", will be started in 2010, which will then occupy an area of 100,000m2. It will provide top infrastructure and facilities for internationalized software and service outsourcing enterprises.
The Optical Valley Software Park has been awarded titles of "Information Safety Industrial Base of the National Torch Plan", "Geographic Informational Industry Base" under the "National 863 Plan", "National Comic and Animation base", "National Culture Industry Base", and "National Torch Plan Software Industry Base ". In December, 2006, Wuhan was awarded the title of "China Service Outsourcing Base ", as recognized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Information Industry. Meanwhile, the Optical Valley Software Park won the title of "China’s Service Outsourcing Base & Model Park".
110 enterprises, including 85 China and 25 non-local enterprises are now in the park. Among them, there are Fortune 500 companies. The well-known domestic and foreign software and service outsourcing enterprises, including EDS, Shenzhen Huawei, China Merchants Bank Credit Card Center, France Telecom, Panalpina, Beijing Transn, Shanghai Augmentum, Zondy Cyber, and Jiang Toon Animation, covering the industry of service outsourcing, animation, financial service, network communication software, informational software, embedded software, geographical services and IT education. An employment of 12,000 people and an annual turnover of RMB 3 billion are realized.
